Varsity Softball Coach

Con Val Regional High School is seeking a Head Coach to lead its softball program. The Coach will develop student‑athletes academically, athletically, and personally, while representing the school's mission of community, respect, and safety.

• Develop and implement instructional plans covering skills, strategy, and physical training.
• Model sportsmanship, character, and leadership on and off the field.
• Plan and manage practice and game schedules, ensuring student safety and compliance with NHIAA rules.
• Oversee equipment and uniform management, budgeting, and inventory.
• Supervise assistant and JV coaches in coordination with the Athletic Director.
• Maintain discipline, address grievances, and promote positive team morale.
• Coordinate with school staff, maintenance, and transportation for events.
• Prepare and file required documentation for state and system compliance.
• Promote the softball program to families, media, and the community.
• Assist athletes with academic eligibility and college preparation.

• Experience in coaching or advanced playing in softball, with a history of program success.
• Ability to organize, supervise, and develop a comprehensive sports program.
• Knowledge of NHIAA rules, state and league regulations, and certification requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills to serve as a mentor and role model to student‑athletes.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development through clinics and workshops.

Athletic Director, in conjunction with high school principals.

Assistant high school coaches and middle school coaches, as directed by the Athletic Director and principals.

To instruct athletes in skills, strategy, and fitness, while fostering character development, self‑discipline, and pride in achievement.

Maintain a positive program image, balance community expectations, and exercise sound judgment in all coaching duties.
