Electrical Shift Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to cover a commercial building in Peterborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for the M&E maintenance for a tenant, ensuring all systems are compliant, safe, and running efficiently. Please note this job requires you to work a shift pattern on 4on 4off for three weeks and then 5on 3off for for four weeks.

Our client is open to engineers with experience in the hotel sector who would be interested in moving into the commercial sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance in commercial properties
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults quickly and effectively
• Conducting inspections, testing, and compliance checks
• Emergency lighting testing and remedial
• Working on motors, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, and three-phase power systems
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Delivering a high standard of customer service on-site
• Collaborating with clients and colleagues to ensure excellent service delivery

Requirements:

• Fully qualified in electrical engineering (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Previous experience working on plant systems in commercial buildings
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and components
• Good fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently
