Labourer, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor, Building Maintenance

Places for People is seeking a qualified Labourer to work locally and support the maintenance of domestic properties. The role offers a company van, a consistent workload and the chance to make a positive impact in the community.

• Use of a company van with fuel card
• 35 days annual leave (incl. bank holidays) with the option to buy or sell leave

• Carry out general repair tasks across domestic properties, both internally and externally.
• Support multiple trades such as joinery, tiling, painting and basic plumbing.
• Work to specifications and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors, schedulers and wider teams to meet deadlines.
• Record work activity and complete required documentation.
• Provide high‑quality customer service and support team performance.
• Travel between jobs using the company van and work independently or with a team.
• Engage directly with customers in their homes.

• NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds qualification.
• Experience as a Labourer, ideally in social housing or domestic properties.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Based within the PE postcode area.

• Experience across multiple trades such as joinery, tiling or plumbing.
• Additional trade qualifications.
