Mears is excited to announce an expansion of our Kitchen Installation team for CROSS KEYS HOMES. With a long‑standing partnership of 18years and a new 10‑year extension, we are bringing all kitchen installation work in‑house. As a Plasterer, you will support the team by delivering high‑quality plastering repairs and maintenance across properties, ensuring every job meets our professional standards and enhances residents’ living environments.
Responsibilities- Carry out plastering repairs and maintenance in properties.
- Prepare walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, including removal of damaged material and making good defects.
- Apply a range of plastering finishes to achieve a high‑quality standard.
- Undertake patch repairs following plumbing, electrical, and general building works.
- Repair and renew ceilings, walls, render, and dry‑lining systems as required.
- Ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales and to company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy working environment at all times.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with tenants, residents, and colleagues.
- Accurately record completed works and report any additional repairs identified.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Use materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support the delivery of excellent customer service and contribute to achieving contract performance targets.
- Work collaboratively with other trades to ensure repairs are completed effectively and with minimal disruption to residents.
- Core trade experience in plastering.
- Experience in building maintenance within the UK.
- Full driving licence.
- Customer focused.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience in other trade backgrounds is advantageous.
- Entitlement to work within the UK (no visa sponsorship).
- Driver’s licence must have been held for over 3months, be issued to a person aged over 21, and have less than 9 points.
- All roles are subject to relevant Background, Identity & Security checks before commencement of employment.
