Job Description & How to Apply Below

Company Description Flo-Aktiv Ltd is a specialist company focused on keeping Britain's showers operating reliably, working directly with manufacturers, their clients, and end users. Unlike general plumbing contractors, the company concentrates solely on brassware products, including shower valves and shower pumps. Flo-Aktiv has established a strong niche in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing products for commercial customers, with long-standing experience in warranty repairs.

The team uses a scientific, technical approach, providing detailed diagnostic reports that withstand rigorous scrutiny, alongside innovative services such as a technical helpline and returns processing and testing. The culture is friendly and collaborative, with a commitment to helping customers solve complex shower system issues.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Field Services Engineer. You will ideally be based in Peterborough, Leicester, Rugby or Northampton area. The Field Services Engineer will visit customer sites to diagnose issues with shower valves, shower pumps, and related brassware products, performing repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance. The role includes providing technical support, explaining findings and solutions to customers, and documenting work through clear, professional reports.

The engineer will coordinate with manufacturers and internal teams, manage parts and tools, and ensure that warranty repairs and service calls are completed efficiently and safely. The position requires regular travel to customer locations, adherence to company procedures, and a strong focus on service quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Strong field service capabilities, including on-site diagnostics, repair, and installation of technical equipment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and technical issues, with a methodical and analytical approach.
  • Experience providing technical support, including clear communication of findings and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Skills in preventive maintenance planning and execution to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, with a professional and respectful approach in commercial environments.
  • Background in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing-related engineering or vocational training; experience with shower systems or brassware is an advantage.
  • Ability to write accurate, detailed service reports and follow technical documentation and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Valid UK driving licence, willingness to travel regularly, and capability to work safely with tools and equipment.
