Traveling Construction Superintendent

• Oversee all phases of construction at project sites to ensure completion within budget, schedule, and quality requirements
• Enforce Warfel Construction safety rules, regulations, and site-specific requirements
• Read and interpret project plans and specifications; analyze construction methods and work sequencing
• Conduct weekly Toolbox Talks and ensure regular safety inspections
• Maintain detailed daily onsite logs
• Create weekly 3-week lookahead schedules and assist with overall schedule updates
• Communicate upcoming work with subcontractors, vendors, and clients
• Schedule subcontractor deliveries and manpower; report potential delays
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and supplies with General Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Managers
• Establish and maintain project dimensional controls, using surveyors or layout personnel as needed
• Supervise subcontractor workmanship for compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Review subcontractor shop drawings and field measurements before fabrication
• Purchase authorized jobsite materials, hardware, and supplies
• Ensure contract changes and deviations receive Project Manager authorization
• Meet with client representatives to discuss project status and questions
• Relay project information to clients with Project Management staff
• Coordinate with local authorities, inspectors, and utility providers
• Adapt to regional regulations and work environments
• Build relationships with new trade partners and manage teams and subcontractors

• Willing to travel frequently and be stationed at project sites as required
• Ability to work with remote Project Management Teams and adhere to company standard operating procedures
• Ability to work M–F beginning at 7:00 AM through 3:30 PM, with occasional Saturday work and overtime
• Ability to work in ever-changing work environments, including variable weather conditions
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and make quick, informed decisions in the field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Plan Grid, Bluebeam, etc.)
• Ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and field personnel
• Minimum 10 years’ supervisory experience on commercial construction projects of similar size
• Experience managing ground-up, renovation, and/or interior build-out projects ranging from $10M to $100M
• Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Must have construction background and training
• Ability to move frequently throughout an active construction site with uneven terrain and inclement weather
• Ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolds, aerial man lifts, and personal fall protection
• Occasional ability to lift or move materials up to 50 lbs.

Demonstrates extensive experience in overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing subcontractor relationships. Proficient in construction management software and skilled in interpreting project plans and specifications.
