Summary of Primary Functions:
The Pre-Construction Engineer provides technical leadership and support during preconstruction activities, including estimating, design review, coordination with project teams, and technical support to ensure successful project execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Leads estimating and bid preparation efforts by developing accurate cost estimates that incorporate materials, labor, production, and logistical considerations.

* Reviews client drawings, specifications, and project requirements to assess constructability and recommend optimized technical solutions.

* Serves as the primary technical liaison for clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders during the preconstruction phase.

* Collaborates with sales, engineering, project management, production, and logistics teams to support efficient project planning and coordination.

* Identifies potential technical, cost, or scheduling risks early in the preconstruction process and proposes mitigation strategies.

* Provides technical input for proposals, bids, and contract documentation.

* Supports the transition of project information from preconstruction to construction teams following contract award.

* Ensures compliance with company safety, quality, and technical standards throughout preconstruction activities.

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

* PE License is required

* 3-5 years of experience in the precast concrete or construction industry is required
