Mechanical Engineer II (Project Manager)
Provide technical coordination and support in operating and capital expense management processes by initiating and running CAPEX projects and monitoring, stabilizing, and improving equipment.
Responsibilities- Project Planning: define project information, prepare technical studies, scope work, schedule, cost‑benefit analysis, preliminary studies, submit plans for approval, manage drawings, and close projects.
- Project Implementation: responsible for scope, schedule, budget, use team skills, design equipment and facilities, develop bid packages, select vendors, coordinate procurement, modify operations, install and commission equipment, verify performance, and finalize documentation.
- CAPEX Portfolio Planning: coordinate with Operations on short‑and long‑term needs, prioritize projects by criticality and benefit, investigate new technologies, and prepare departmental CAPEX plans.
- Technical Support for Operations: collaborate with improvement facilitators, participate in safety teams, troubleshoot equipment, support improvement activities, coordinate outage schedules, implement best practices, and assist annual action planning.
- Four‑year Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of industrial engineering experience involving design and construction of projects.
- Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to CAPEX continuous improvement and department efficiency.
- Basic AutoCAD and layout skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Knowledge of industrial safety and construction methods.
- Strong leadership, results orientation, and ability to drive profitability in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lead and develop dynamic teamwork.
- Excellent oral and written communication; detail‑oriented data collection and presentation.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
