- High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred but not required. Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in plant operations or equivalent required. APICS module: BSCM preferred.
- Experience in activities related to production planning.
- Maintain a high level of communication with all stakeholders.
- Ability to respond timely to requests and inquiries as needed.
- PC-proficient with software programs including data-based programs, Word, Excel, etc.
- Proficient use of SAP & QMOS systems. SAP-ECC and production scheduling preferred.
- Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships.
- Conflict negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform and prioritize a variety of analytical tasks with minimum supervision.
You will be responsible for carrying out production and offline scheduling, inventory levels control and distribution to balance the level of customer service and service cost, according to S&OP guidelines. Ensure operational efficiencies of all manufacturing processes through use of the production scheduling process to improve overall product quality, cost, and customer satisfaction through on time and full fulfillment. This position reports to the Scheduler, with dotted line to VP/GM.

- Melt Shop Production Schedule
- Liquid steel and/or billet PO creation
- Billet Yard Management
- Manage billet yard storage locations of both the inner and outer yards to optimize storage and accessibility for production execution. Including stacking plans, inventory control and validation.
- Coordinate and works with Melt Shop, Billet Yard and Rolling Mill Furnace operations.
- Rolling Mill Production Schedule
- MES & ERP systems; finished good production orders. Cold, hot and mix mode charging.
- Offline Production Schedule
- Manage the communication and movement of parent material with Production & Logistics. Including setting up the pull list from surge, gag press or yard to offline for processing.
- Coordinates and works with Sales to process and fill all special orders requested by customers.
- Estimated completion times of CTL and EPC orders both cut from stock and mill orders.
