Position Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (Evening/Night Shift)

Location: Hiram Davis Medical Center, Petersburg, Virginia
Job ResponsibilitiesProvide direct and skilled nursing support to patients of all ages, assisting with personal care, daily activities, nourishment, mobility, and restorative exercises on the Evening and Night Shift.
Monitor and document patient health, behavior, and treatments and report any changes to licensed staff.
Support one‑to‑one supervision, safe patient transport, and maintain a clean, safe environment.
Coordinate staffing, participate in therapeutic activities, and ensure care is delivered according to hospital policies and standards.
LPNs will work two 12‑hour shifts and two 8‑hour shifts per week to equal 40 hours.
KSA's and Competencies- Knowledgeable in practical nursing principles, patient care, anatomy, pharmacology, and hospital safety.
- Skilled in medication administration, patient assessments, IV/PICC care, catheterizations, and restorative exercises.
- Able to implement care plans, supervise staff, provide one‑to‑one patient care, and respond to emergencies.
- Proficient in documentation, communication, and coordinating patient transport and behavioral plans, with flexibility to work varied shifts and overtime.
- Current licensure as LPN with the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Practical Nursing with successful completion of an acceptable Pharmacology course.
- Knowledge of medication administration and EHR systems.
Experience working in a long‑term care setting is preferred.
