Hours: 36 Hours/Week
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Richmond, Virginia. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a busy Emergency Department providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have recent ER experience and strong critical thinking skills to deliver exceptional care to patients with a wide range of emergency and acute care needs.
PositionResponsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department
- Provide safe and effective nursing care for emergency and critical care patients
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Accurately document patient care utilizing EPIC electronic medical records
- Maintain compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards
- 32-bed Emergency Department
- 5 recliner chairs with the ability to flex up to 10 hallway beds
- Patient ratios approximately 1:4-5
- Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- EPIC charting system preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience within the last 24 months
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in the specialty applying for
- Strong emergency nursing and patient assessment skills preferred
- Active RN License (state or compact license if applicable)
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- TNCC Certification
- Current CPR certification if applicable
- Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide available)
- TB screening, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
