Tink Bird Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens opportunity providing occupational health services at an onsite employee health clinic in Petersburg, Virginia. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive occupational medicine services in a focused, workplace-based clinical setting while helping bridge coverage during the hiring and onboarding of a permanent provider.

Approximately 130 employees
- Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Start:
September 14, 2026 - Coverage is needed while the practice completes hiring and onboarding of a permanent PA/NP
- Assignment end date is TBD (initially anticipated to be 12 weeks) and will depend on the permanent provider's availability and start date
- Potential for the assignment to end earlier once the permanent provider begins
- Evaluate and treat occupational injuries and illnesses
- Provide medical surveillance services
- Perform respiratory medical clearances
- Conduct respirator fit testing
- Perform audiometric testing
- Conduct drug and alcohol collections
- Provide additional occupational health services within the provider's scope of practice
- Assess employee health concerns and determine appropriate treatment or follow-up
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Experience in occupational health preferred
- Active DEA
- Ability to practice independently within the appropriate scope of practice
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Comfortable providing occupational health services in an onsite workplace setting
- Onsite occupational health clinic
- Employee-focused clinical environment
- Working-age adult patient population
- Occupational injury and illness care
- Medical surveillance and workplace health services
