Schedule:
Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM. Pay: $21.00–$23.00/hour.

TOPS Staffing is hiring a Quality Inspector for a growing manufacturing company. This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who enjoys working with measurements, blueprints, and quality documentation. The company is willing to provide training on precision measuring equipment, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to grow their quality inspection skills. Only thing we are requiring is applicants be able to read measure using a tape measure.
Position OverviewThe Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting large fabricated metal products, including structural beams, steel pipe, and plate steel. This role involves verifying dimensions, reviewing drawings, documenting inspection results, and ensuring products meet customer and quality requirements before shipment.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect fabricated steel beams, pipe, and plate products for quality and accuracy
- Read tape measures and verify dimensions against drawings and specifications
- Review basic blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Complete inspection reports and quality documentation accurately
- Identify non-conforming products and communicate findings to production personnel
- Perform visual inspections for workmanship and product quality
- Maintain organized records and inspection paperwork
- Learn and utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, or quality-related environment preferred
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure is required
- Ability to read basic blueprints or shop drawings is required
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Comfortable working around large steel products and fabrication equipment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn new inspection techniques and measuring equipment
- Daylight or Afternoon shift position currently available
