As a Security Guard - Roving Patrol in Petersburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security‑related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activities, and communicate clearly while delivering customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including assisting with de‑escalation and contacting appropriate staff and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas, including corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Control access at designated points by monitoring entry and exit, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization when required, and directing individuals to the proper departments.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activity, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision per post orders.

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
