Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Locum Physician specializing in Gastroenterology to support McLaren Northern. This vital role involves performing outpatient and inpatient scopes, including ERCP procedures, within a clinic setting. With a schedule spanning Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and 24-hour weekend call shifts (no weekday night call), you’ll have the flexibility to balance professional fulfillment and personal interests.

Required Skills:
- Valid medical license in Michigan or eligibility to obtain one
- Board-certified or eligible in Gastroenterology
- Proven experience performing ERCP procedures (REQUIRED)
- Strong clinical skills in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior locum or hospital-based experience
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
- Ability to manage high-volume scopes efficiently
- Additional proficiency in advanced endoscopic procedures
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of a fellowship in Gastroenterology
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice post-fellowship
- Prior experience working in hospital and outpatient environments
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Michigan
- Availability to start on or before January 22, 2026
- Willingness to work 24-hour weekend call shifts (4 hours paid as non-billable time)
- Travel and licensure expenses covered as per policy (excluding taxes)
- Use of Doc Time for clock-in/out; no paper timesheets
