As a Municipal Engineering Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in leading engineering and design initiatives for project plans and specifications. Your expertise in project management and engineering design will drive impactful results while keeping a people-first approach at the center of our work.
Your Responsibilities:- Manage and prepare project scope, schedules, and budgets for proposals and contracts.
- Mentor and develop junior staff and coordinate with sub-consultants during project execution.
- Communicate project goals, alternatives, and outcomes effectively to team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Proactively identify potential project issues and advise clients with practical alternatives and solutions.
- Ensure prompt and accurate submission of invoices and manage collection processes.
- Engage in business development and ensure client satisfaction.
- Understand client needs and relate OHM services accordingly.
- Identify and coordinate hiring of necessary staff resources.
- Equip direct reports with the necessary tools and training for success and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Education, Experience, & Licensure:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in traffic design, traffic control, and utility coordination.
- Relevant experience in municipal streets, utilities, and roadway/highway design.
- Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D software.
- Familiarity with MDOT Project Wise and associated design criteria is preferred.
- Must hold a Professional Engineering License in the State of Michigan.
