The Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and backups of all physical infrastructure equipment and software related to the clients’ network and server/storage environments. The Systems Administrator will spend the bulk of their day onsite at our clients’ places of business. The successful candidate will possess exceptional technical and interpersonal skills, be highly organized and motivated, have a positive attitude and enjoy being part of a dynamic team.
Responsibilities- Administer installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and upgrades of hardware and software systems for Centaris’ clients.
- Provide advanced‑level IT troubleshooting and support.
- Configure, maintain, and support physical/virtual servers, internal cloud applications, end‑user devices or terminals, security, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Implement and support remote access solutions.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or related degree/equivalent work experience) preferred.
- 5+ years of systems administration experience preferred.
- Professional IT certifications preferred.
- Experience in installation, configuration, and maintenance of routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Server applications such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, group policies, etc.
- Microsoft’s core business applications (Exchange, SQL, etc.) and operating systems (servers and desktops) as well as line‑of‑business applications.
- Remote access solutions including VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.
- MS Azure, M365, O365, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Mid‑level technical support and troubleshooting at network level: WAN/LAN connectivity, Layer 2/3 switching, routers, firewalls, security.
- Operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems knowledge.
- VMware up to version 7.0.
- Robust problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Self‑motivated with ability to work in a fast‑moving environment.
