Help Desk Technician (L1) Description

Our client in the IT and Managed Services industry is seeking a Help Desk Technician (Level
1) to join their team in Petoskey, Michigan. This role is ideal for an entry-level IT professional with one-to-three years of helpdesk experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Reporting to the Team Lead, this individual will provide Level 1 technical support to internal and external clients, assist with hardware deployments and device setups, and help maintain the performance and security of critical systems and networks. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, communicates effectively, follows established procedures, and is eager to learn and grow within the organization. Desk Technician (L1) Responsibilities
  • Answer Help Desk phones and respond to support requests in a timely manner
  • Provide Level 1 remote and phone support for end users
  • Deliver Level 1 on-site support, including new hardware installations
  • Perform new device setup and migrate user data from old devices
  • Troubleshoot Windows, MacOS, mobile devices, printers/scanners, and network connectivity issues
  • Assist with infrastructure implementations and day-to-day technical operations
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation with strong attention to detail
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and assist with after-hours emergency support as needed
Help Desk Technician (L1) Qualifications
  • 1+ years of network support or help desk support experience required
  • Strong Windows 10 desktop support skills required
  • Must have or be willing to obtain your CompTIA Network+ (Net+) certification
  • Must be willing to work onsite
