• Collect, prioritize, and execute work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Plan, organize, and communicate goals, processes and completion time frame of projects when requested or appropriate.
• Prioritize and execute directions from supervisor.
• Coordinate paint activities effectively with affected internal departments.
• Smooth surfaces and remove old paint from surfaces to prepare surfaces for painting.
• Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler.
• Select premixed paints, or mix required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare a paint that matches specified colors.
• Remove fixtures such as pictures and electric switch covers from walls prior to painting.
• Spread drop cloths over floors and room furnishings, and cover surfaces such as baseboards, door frames, and windows with masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting.
• Paint surfaces with brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers.
• Simulate wood grain, marble, brick, or tile effects.
• Apply paint with cloth, brush, sponge, or fingers to create special effects.
• Erect scaffolding or set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.
• Wash surfaces prior to painting with mildew remover.
