As a critical member of the Cardiovascular Unit, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patient responses to various health conditions. This unit is renowned for its exceptional care, handling over 4,000 cardiology patients annually, including those undergoing procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, Mitra Clip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers. The unit also specializes in caring for patients with congestive heart failure and conducting electrophysiology studies.

• Provide high-quality care to cardiovascular patients, including post-op open heart surgery patients
• Utilize clinical judgment to diagnose and treat patient responses
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in national clinical trials managed by the NISUS research department
• Maintain compliance with all required certifications and licensure

Requirements:

• 1+ year of ICU experience (floating not considered)
• EKG experience
• Willingness to float to similar units
• Preferred experience in Neuro, CVICU, Trauma, managing vents, CRRT, and Balloon Pumps
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Michigan state nursing license
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application
