Graduate Nurse - Endoscopy

Position Summary

Under supervision of RN preceptor completes patient care assignments within a reasonable length of time, meeting the obvious needs of the patient.

Under supervision of RN preceptor:

• Completes patient care assignments within a reasonable length of time, meeting the obvious needs of the patient.
• Contributes to the development of patient problem list using the nursing process:
• A.achieve established nursing care goals and/or
• B.prevent further pathophysiology and/or
• C.correct pathophysiology and/or
• D.maintain function.
• Identifies patient’s ongoing and discharge teaching needs.
• Demonstrates competency and knowledge in performing basic skills. Responds to real or simulated emergency and disaster situations according to established procedure.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment.

Required:

• Successful completion of an accredited school of nursing program by start or transfer date.
• Will be required to take the State of Michigan Licensure Examination within 60 days of your hire or transfer date.
• If RN Licensure is not obtained, GN would require employee to apply for and be accepted into another position within thirty (30) days or employment is terminated.
• BLS and/or Canadian equivalent by American Health Association or Red Cross Certification.
