Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit at Level 2 North. The role involves providing patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment with a diverse surgical and trauma patient population. The RN will focus on delivering safe, evidence-based, holistic care to promote positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Seek ongoing professional development through certification, advanced education, and literature review.
• Demonstrate leadership by sharing knowledge, serving as a clinical resource, and role modeling best practices.
• Communicate effectively with team members using SBAR and other interdisciplinary methods.
• Manage clinical productivity through efficient time management and assisting colleagues.
• Adhere to competency-based objectives and perform other duties aligned with the job purpose.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Michigan license with verification via LARA and Nursys; provide documentation if applicable.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent, full-time Med Surg RN experience; no float or tele units.
• Have Level I or II Trauma experience; required.
• BLS certification from AHA; required.
• Skills checklist completed within the past year for RN specialties.
• Strong communication, leadership, and collaborative skills.
