Job Summary:
Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population on a fast-paced Medical Surgical Unit, ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans in a patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to assess patient needs and develop comprehensive, individualized care plans.
- Utilize clinical pathways and evidence-based practices to deliver holistic patient care focused on safety and recovery.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise by acting as a resource and role model for professional nursing practice.
- Communicate effectively using SBAR and foster collegial relationships within the healthcare team.
- Manage time efficiently, assist colleagues, and contribute to the overall productivity of the unit.
- Adhere to attendance policies and document all care activities in compliance with facility standards.
- Proven clinical experience with 2+ years of straight Medical Surgical nursing; no float time or other specialties.
- Current Michigan RN license (LARA and Nursys verification required).
- Must have Level II or I trauma experience.
- BLS certification through AHA.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse healthcare environment.
