Job Summary:

Provides direct patient care in a fast-paced Med Surg environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Ensures patient safety, quality care, and positive outcomes while adhering to facility policies and clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with healthcare team members to create, execute, and evaluate personalized care plans based on comprehensive assessments.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise by applying evidence-based practices and maintaining certifications.
• Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and team members utilizing SBAR and interdisciplinary channels.
• Manage time efficiently to support team productivity and assist colleagues as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies, including a strict attendance policy and documentation requirements.
• Demonstrate professionalism and leadership by serving as a resource and role model for peers.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Michigan RN license with verification from LARA and Nursys.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent, continuous Med Surg nursing experience.
• Proven experience in a Level II or I Trauma hospital setting.
• Certification in BLS (AHA) is required.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.
• Ability to pass and complete a skills checklist within one year of application.
