Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown / Cardiovascular Unit (Nights)

Petoskey, MI

Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift | Onsite

• Use clinical judgment to assess, diagnose, and treat patient responses to actual or potential cardiovascular health conditions
• Provide specialized nursing care for cardiology patients, including those recovering from procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, Mitra Clip, and bi-ventricular pacemaker placements
• Care for post-operative open heart surgery patients in the early recovery phase (18–24 hours post-op)
• Manage and monitor patients with congestive heart failure and those undergoing electrophysiology studies
• Interpret and respond to EKG findings as part of ongoing patient monitoring
• Float to similar units as needed to support staffing and patient care needs

• Minimum 1 year of Stepdown nursing experience
• Proficiency in cardiac nursing care
• Comfort with EKG interpretation and monitoring
• Active Michigan RN license (LARA and Nursys verification required)
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Must be willing to float to similar units
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application is required

• Experience in a cardiovascular or IMC/PCU setting beyond the minimum requirement
• Familiarity with national clinical trial protocols or research-integrated care environments
• Prior travel nursing experience
