Requirements:

• Active Michigan RN license required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Stepdown nursing experience.
• Cardiac nursing experience required.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• Comfortable with EKG monitoring and interpretation.
• Willingness to float to similar units based on staffing needs.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Completed RN specialty skills checklist within the required timeframe.

Unit & Patient Population:

• Adult acute care setting focused on cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
• Patient population may include:
• Cardiac procedures and post-procedure recovery
• Congestive heart failure management
• Electrophysiology patients
• Post-surgical cardiac care
• Medical-surgical and complex care patients

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in patient conditions.
• Provide evidence-based nursing care using clinical judgment.
• Manage cardiac monitoring and support patients with complex cardiovascular needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote safe and effective patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery.
