A Step Down Unit Registered Nurse located in Petoskey, Michigan, is responsible for providing critical patient care to individuals recovering from cardiac procedures and surgeries. The RN applies clinical judgment to diagnose and treat patient responses to health conditions, working as an integral member of the cardiovascular care team. This role involves supporting patients with congestive heart failure, electrophysiology studies, and complex cardiac interventions, contributing to exceptional patient outcomes in a nationally recognized facility.

• Schedule:
  
  Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  1+ year of Stepdown experience; proficiency in cardiac care; travel experience; EKG comfortability; willingness to float to similar units;
  Michigan license verification; valid ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Additional Information:
  The position follows a strict attendance policy with a three-strike rule, and exceptions are reviewed for medical situations such as communicable diseases or hospitalization. A skills checklist completed within one year of application is required. Physical copies of certifications are only necessary if listed above.
