Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) | Petoskey, MI | Up to $2,686/Week | 13-Week Travel Contract | Night Shift

We are seeking experienced Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurses (RNs) for a 13-week travel assignment in Petoskey, Michigan. Join a nationally recognized cardiovascular team caring for complex cardiac and post-operative patients while earning competitive weekly pay.

As a Stepdown RN, you will provide specialized care for cardiovascular and progressive care patients requiring close monitoring following surgery or acute medical treatment. You'll care for patients recovering from advanced cardiac procedures while collaborating with an experienced interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous cardiac monitoring.
• Care for patients recovering from cardiac procedures, including PCI, stents, TAVR, Mitra Clip, pacemaker placement, and open-heart surgery.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and cardiac treatments.
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and promptly recognize changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and rehabilitation teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery.
• Accurately document patient care and maintain compliance with clinical standards.
• Float to similar units as needed.

Requirements Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN License
• Minimum 1 year of Stepdown/PCU experience
• Strong cardiac nursing experience
• Comfortable interpreting EKGs and telemetry rhythms
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Willingness to float to similar units

• BLS
• ACLS

• Specialized Cardiovascular/Stepdown Unit
• Care for over 4,000 cardiology patients annually
• Advanced cardiac procedures including:
  • PTCA
  • Coronary Stents
  • TAVR
  • Mitra Clip
  • Bi-Ventricular Pacemakers
• Recovery care for approximately 300 open-heart surgery patients annually
• Specialized CHF and Electrophysiology patient population
• National clinical research participation
• Collaborative interdisciplinary care environment
