American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular/Stepdown Unit position requiring a MI license and prior stepdown or cardiac experience.

• Work in the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) of a hospital, caring for over 4000 cardiology patients annually
• Patient population includes those undergoing PTCA, stents, TAVR, Mitra Clip, and bi-ventricular pacemaker procedures
• Care for approximately 300 open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op) discharged from the unit
• Specialized care for patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend required
• Possible on-call requirements
• Floating to similar units required

• Active MI RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Stepdown experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac nursing required
• EKG comfortability required
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required
• Travel experience required

• Serve as a critical member of a nationally recognized CVU, awarded the Silver Beacon Award and redesigned by the AACN
• Facility has been named a Top 50 Heart Hospital in the U.S.
• Unit supports national clinical trials through the NISUS research department
• Strict attendance policy in place; 3 instances of absence or tardiness (20+ minutes late) may result in immediate termination, with exceptions considered for documented illness or hospitalization
• Full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested during the assignment
