Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Provides immediate, high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting. Ensures compliance with facility policies while delivering compassionate and efficient emergency nursing services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions rapidly to prioritize care in a high-volume environment.
• Perform clinical interventions including IV placement, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient history, assessments, and treatments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Adhere to strict attendance policies, reporting absences or tardiness according to hospital protocols.
• Maintain up-to-date certifications and licenses required for emergency nursing practice.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Michigan nursing license with verification through LARA and Nursys.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent emergency room experience.
• Complete a skills checklist within one year of application.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift in a fast-paced emergency environment.
