Sales Associate

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Sales Associate supports Management in promoting a customer- and product-focused sales culture, ensuring a great customer experience and maximum profitability.

• Meets company sales goals by utilizing sales techniques and communicating product knowledge.
• Recommends merchandise selections and helps locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
• Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions, pricing, and visual standards.
• Upkeeps standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and related duties as directed by Management.
• Participates in visual directives including monthly store sets and zone maintenance.

• Models and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles and standards for a cohesive omni‑channel experience.
• Ensures prompt resolution of customer concerns.
• Maintains a fast and efficient register experience, staying current on policies for payments, coupons, returns, exchanges, and security practices.
• Reinforces buying decisions at checkout and achieves add‑on goals, including gift card sales.
• Signs up clients for the reward program.
• Builds and maintains a solid customer following through clienteling and wardrobe management.
• Awareness of current product fit and style assortment offerings in store and online.
• Maintains consistent client communication through the utilization of the customer book.

• Supports replenishment activities to keep the store full and abundant.
• Assists with order fulfillment.
• Assists with visual directives such as floor sets, window changes, visual presentations, and signage placement as directed.
• Assists with boutique cleanliness and organization.

• Promotes an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem solving.
• Seeks personal developmental opportunities and readily solicits feedback.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail or sales experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to communicate with customers, Associates, and Management.
• Regular attendance is essential. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.

• Constant walking/standing – 67‑100% of an 8‑hour shift.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. – 1‑33% of an 8‑hour shift.
• Frequent climbing – 34‑66% of an 8‑hour shift.
