About the Position

Moore Mechanical is seeking an experienced Senior Plumbing Installer who can do more than install plumbing systems. This role is for a skilled plumber who can lead by example, coordinate field activities, mentor apprentices and installers, and help projects stay on schedule and on budget. As a Senior Plumbing Installer, you'll serve as a key leader in the field and play an important role in developing the next generation of Moore Mechanical plumbers while preparing for future advancement into Field Supervisor and Operations leadership positions.

What You'll Do Field Leadership
  • Lead plumbing installations on residential and commercial projects
  • Coordinate daily crew activities and jobsite priorities
  • Assign work and provide direction to apprentices and installers
  • Support project schedules and productivity goals
  • Promote professionalism and accountability on every project
Project Execution
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and engineering drawings
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, General Contractors, and Superintendents
  • Ensure work complies with plumbing codes, project specifications, and company standards
  • Identify and resolve field issues before they impact production
  • Support project milestones and schedule commitments
Material & Jobsite Management
  • Forecast material and equipment needs
  • Coordinate with field leadership to prevent shortages and delays
  • Organize work areas, materials, and equipment for maximum efficiency

    Help manage labor productivity and workflow
Training & Development
  • Mentor apprentices and less experienced installers
  • Teach proper installation techniques and code‑compliant workmanship
  • Support onboarding and development of new employees
  • Help build the next generation of Moore Mechanical field leaders
Safety & Quality
  • Enforce company safety policies and jobsite procedures
  • Promote clean, organized, and professional jobsites
  • Conduct quality checks throughout installations
  • Help minimize rework, callbacks, and punch‑list items

  • Projects stay productive and on schedule
  • Installations are completed correctly the first time
  • Material shortages and delays are minimized
  • Apprentices and junior installers improve under your leadership
  • Jobsite safety expectations are consistently met
  • Strong communication with Project Managers and field leadership

What We're Looking For
  • Journeyman or Master Plumbing License in Michigan preferred
  • 5+ years of plumbing installation experience
  • Proven leadership or crew lead experience
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, building codes, and installation best practices
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in active construction environments
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Minimum age of 18
