Office Administrator/ Coordinator
WCTC is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate administrative professional to join our ever evolving Business Information Technology Programs department. This position provides administrative support for the Associate Dean of Business Information Technology Programs, its instructional team, and students. These duties and responsibilities often require strong critical thinking skills and involve varying degrees of complexity and confidentiality. Characteristic duties and responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide ongoing administrative support to the department/function to ensure efficient office operations i.e. correspondence, records, reports, calendars, etc.
- Provide support for the day-to-day activities related to the financial responsibilities of the department re: budget, expense reports, purchasing, etc.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of on- and off-campus meetings, events and/or workshops.
- Provide reception support i.e. answer and screen telephone calls, greet and interact with the public, students, faculty and staff.
- Maintain current professional and technical knowledge in the field through professional education and activities. Provide back-up support services, as required.
- Support College managers in quality and process improvement activities.
- Participate in and contribute to assignments and special projects of a similar nature and level.
- Interpersonal communication skills - oral, written and listening

- Ability to attend closely to detailed work, completing and maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to work processes
- Ability to multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with computer software applications such as word processing and spreadsheets
- High School diploma
- 2-4 years of general office experience
- Higher education experience preferred
- Associate's degree preferred
The Administrative Assistant II supports the Business Information Technology department and is fulltime, benefit eligible. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some events throughout the year, e.g. Open House, may require an adjusted schedule.
