Generac Home is hiring! The Manager Codes & Standards will lead the operational delivery of installation and code guidance  role manages the team’s code-influence activity, advisory and training cadence, installation information quality, and structured AHJ and code inquiry response process to accelerate approvals, increase activations, reduce rework, and protect customer satisfaction. The role is accountable for predictable execution against defined targets (attendance, engagement, NPS, and response SLAs) and for converting field questions into reusable knowledge and content improvements.

This role directly supports Sales by reducing deal friction related to installation approval, supporting confident selling in regulated markets, and improving conversion from sale to activation.  
** This role could be 100% remote and salary will ultimately be aligned with location candidate is hired into. Preferred location is Pewaukee WI.
**** Major Responsibilities:
**** Code influence program management (NEC/NFPA/CSA**)
* Coordinate the team’s installation-code influence activity, including planning, assigning, and tracking Public Inputs and Public Comments across the NEC code cycle and related NFPA/CSA efforts.
* Maintain a watchlist of code changes and adoptions with clear owners and documented outcomes, and ensure positions are aligned with Product and Regulatory stakeholders.
** Advisory and training impact (disciplined execution)
*** Plan and execute advisory and training sessions to consistently meet defined targets, segment overlays, and engagement KPIs within NPS targets.
* Coordinate with Sales leadership to prioritize sessions that remove deal friction in key markets and segments. Apply scheduling and checkpoint discipline to minimize cancellations, no-shows, and travel waste.
* Maintain a monthly scorecard with fill versus plan, no-show rates, engagement metrics, NPS, and process adherence.
** Installation information ownership (operational control)
*** Ensure the Codes & Standards function is the source of truth for installation guidance, from inputs through approved manuals and training assets.
* Oversee documentation quality-assurance workflows, ensuring issues are routed to the proper owners and resolutions are captured and published as updates or addenda.
* Standardize use of tailorable sections and local-code addenda to manage regional differences without base-course content forks.
** Code-challenge intake and 24-hour initial response
*** Own the inquiry intake process, required fields, triage assignment, and 24-business-hour initial response SLA.
* Ensure 100% of inquiries are logged, tagged at closure (Resolved or Not Accepted), and converted into reusable knowledge where applicable.
* Partner with Regulatory, Product, Technical Publications, and SFDC/Admin for dashboards, intake fields, and response templates**.
**** People leadership and capability building
*** Hire, coach, and develop team members; set expectations and manage performance.
* Build coverage plans for priority topics (for example, NFPA 110 and gas installation training) and ensure subject-matter-expert backups.
** Boundaries
* ** This role develops and influences installation codes and standards (for example, NEC Public Inputs and Public Comments, NFPA and CSA participation, and local-code interpretation) and owns code-correct installation guidance and AHJ enablement.  + Role does not own product certification or listing to UL product safety standards (for example, UL 2200, UL 6200, and UL 1741), which resides with Product Compliance and Certification, nor does it own standards-development strategy for product listing.

Does not perform installations or warranty service work; escalates product-listing matters to appropriate governance partners.
