Plumbing BIM Detailer

Location: Remote/Hybrid/On-Site (based on project needs)

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $75,000 – $105,000+ annually, depending on experience

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing BIM Detailer to support the design, coordination, and documentation of plumbing systems for commercial construction projects. In this role, you will develop detailed BIM models, create construction‑ready drawings, and coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented professional with strong Revit experience and a solid understanding of plumbing systems to contribute to high-impact projects from design through construction.

• Develop and maintain plumbing system BIM models using Revit.
• Create detailed layouts, shop drawings, and fabrication‑ready documentation.
• Coordinate plumbing systems with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Review designs for constructability, accuracy, and code compliance.
• Incorporate design revisions, RFIs, field updates, and redlines into project models and drawings.
• Support project teams throughout design, coordination, and construction phases.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and assist with clash detection and resolution.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure adherence to company and industry standards.

• Experience as a Plumbing Detailer, BIM Technician, BIM Coordinator, or Plumbing Designer.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit

• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, piping layouts, and installation methods.
• Knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and construction practices.
• Experience producing construction documents and detailed drawings.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced project environment.

• Experience with commercial or industrial construction projects.
• AutoCAD experience.
• BIM coordination and clash detection experience.
• Previous experience working with mechanical contractors, plumbing contractors, or fabrication teams.
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary MEP coordination workflows.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, detailers, and field teams.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and resolve coordination issues before construction.
