Early Childhood Education Assistant
Job DescriptionAssist with the supervision and teaching of children ages six weeks to ten years of age with daily care routines and implementation of age appropriate lessons and activities aligned with best practice, state licensing rules and regulatory and accreditation standards.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of theories and principles of childhood growth and development from birth through ten years of age.
- Knowledge of child behavior.
- Knowledge of first aid, safety, sanitation and nutrition pertaining to Early Childhood Education standards of best practice.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents, and other staff.
- Ability to plan and organize own work and creative activities for children.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills in speaking, writing and listening.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
This position is a temporary position that supports the Education & Human Services department and available to start immediately.
