Grade 1 Lead Teacher

Prairie Hill Waldorf School is accepting applications for a full-time Grade 1 Lead Teacher for the  school year.

Prairie Hill Waldorf School was founded in 1987 and is a full member of AWSNA (Association of Waldorf Schools of North America). We have 190 students from pre-k to grade eight, robust parent and tot classes and an outstanding faculty and staff of forty. Our faculty is grounded in a commitment to anthroposophy, and we have an enthusiastic and supportive parent body and board of trustees.

We are an established, thriving school offering a Waldorf curriculum.

Our school is situated on fourteen acres of land including gardens, fields, wetlands and small woods located in the beautiful Lake Country of Delafield between Milwaukee and Madison, WI. Also available in the area are a Lifeways Training Center, the Great Lakes Teacher Training program, anthroposophical medicine and a pharmacy, and many other opportunities. We are committed to providing a healthy, beautiful and sustainable environment which supports the pedagogical mission of the school.

Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and prior teaching experience. A Waldorf certificate or degree is preferred but not necessary and a willingness to participate in Waldorf training.

The salary for the position is dependent on teaching experience and education.
