We have a need for a SCADA modeler, well versed in the electrical side of things. Ideally, candidate would have experience in Eco Struxure but not required if they have experience via another SCADA tool. This is a mostly on site role to start, located in Pewaukee, WI. Max of 3x week, Tuesday-Thursday, for first 2 months then could go down to fully remote.
(3 days week, one week per month). Have to be available for those days regardless.
Ideally, the candidate will be familiar with electrical distribution devices like elbows, reclosures, switches, transformers, feeders, and electrical terminology like voltage, frequency.
Responsibilities- Builds and maintains network displays for distribution, substation and transmission views
- Completes SCADA mapping of electrical devices
- Understands internal views and how to build and maintain them
- Understands how to create, validate and maintain distribution automation and one-line composite views
- Provides analysis and validation of auto-generated views
- Applies analytical skills to import GIS information, troubleshoot errors and develops solutions
- Provides guidance by defining the data cleanup scope for GIS team
- Provides analysis and troubleshooting for testing and commissioning new devices
- Provides technical support for point to point testing
- Proficient with business standards to review, analyze and confirm network model and substation validations
- Develops symbols and symbol profiles within ADMS
- Responsible for facilitating other data feeds into ADMS (load profiles, customer data, etc.)
- Analyzes and promotes model changes into ADMS network
- Develops and analyzes additional data sources for ADMS
- Management of non-telemetered points for their model configuration (catalogs, tags, notes)
- Effectively completes issue reporting and communications with other teams
- Reviews work of less experienced team members
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems, MIS, Engineering or closely related discipline
