Work Location: Corporate Headquarters – Pewaukee
Division: Mechanical (Full Time, Exempt)
Responsibilities- Under the direction of the Special Projects Supervisor, the Sales Engineer is responsible for the engineering and design of complex HVAC, industrial processes, and/or piping systems.
- Provide engineering support to field questions and installation problems.
- Acquire new accounts and/or projects in accordance with the Company sales and profit objectives.
- Design and engineering support: design mechanical systems, review project documentation, meet with customers, and visit job sites.
- Sales: sell design-build mechanical systems and develop and maintain relationships with customers.
- Customer relations: maintain the Company’s relationships with current customers and educate about Company’s competencies.
- New business: identify, develop, and generate new business activity and estimate projects in accordance with customer plans.
- Turnovers and project preparation: prepare initial project documentation for turning over a project to the Project Manager.
- Support: support company salespeople, project managers, estimators, and field foremen on technical concerns.
- Development of engineering/design staff: assist in the selection, orientation, and training of new engineering and design professionals.
- Best practices: utilize technical expertise to continually challenge and improve designs and construction practices.
- Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering - Years of Relevant
Work Experience:
5+ years of engineering design experience - Certificates/Licenses:
Driver’s License, HVAC Designer or PE certification preferred - Physical
