Manufacturing Engineer

Location:

N25 W23040 Paul Road, Pewaukee, WI 53072

Work Hours:

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Description

In this role you will plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes in an industrial plant. Develop, evaluate, and improve production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs. Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements.

What

You'll Do
  • Develop efficient processes to complete manufacturing builds
  • Design fixtures and gauges to help manufacture products
  • Specify and help procure new equipment to continually improve efficiency (automation)
  • Help develop product designs to ensure they are optimal for manufacturability
  • Travel to suppliers as necessary to help improve their processes to provide cost‑saving and/or quality improvements
  • Support Quality Assurance with fixture & gauge design and project related tasks
  • Develop and follow through on continual improvement projects
What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 5 to 10 years of manufacturing or mechanical engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drawings
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering principles and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent math skills
  • Solid Works (or other 3D CAD) experience
  • Proficient in Word, Excel
  • Strong communication skills – answering technical questions
  • Ability to generate ideas for process improvements and lean manufacturing
