This role is responsible for leading the engineering and design departments at Tri-Phase, that consists of application engineers, electrical and mechanical designers, and project management. The Engineering Manager ensures external customers receive the support needed both pre and post-sales and that internal documentation and procedures are followed to support other departments.

This role is responsible for leading the engineering and design departments at Tri-Phase, that consists of application engineers, electrical and mechanical designers, and project management. The Engineering Manager ensures external customers receive the support needed both pre and post-sales and that internal documentation and procedures are followed to support other departments.

• Manage application engineers that provide pre and post-sales support, designers providing detailed drawing development, and project management for all new projects.
• Mentor and coordinate training for engineers to develop their technical understanding of the products and solutions Tri-Phase offers.
• Design, implement, and refine processes to ensure accurate quoting, documentation, project management, and designs.
• Coordinate with the sales leader to provide needed pre-sales support for solution development and post-sales support to ensure successful completion of projects.
• Manage staff to assign tasks, provide training, and assess needs.
• Coordinate the technical onboarding training for application engineers, designers, and salespeople.
• Work with engineers and designers to develop and build demo systems as needed by sales.
• Work with the Project Manager to provide needed support on larger engineering and prototyping projects.
• Manage resource allocation across projects, sales needs, and other needs.
• Ensure critical projects stay on track and provide support as needed to resolve issues.
• Maintain an employee-focused, solution-oriented culture.
• Participate in higher-level management planning and strategy meetings.

• 6-7 years’ experience in the automation field with exposure to a variety of technologies and applications
• Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
• Highly technical mindset
• Degree in electrical, mechanical, or other related engineering fields
• Strong organizational, communication, and listening skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and show critical thinking.
