Position Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Material Handler to support our label production operation at our Pewaukee facility. You will help accelerate the flow of incoming and outgoing shipments in a professional, accurate, and safe process that meets all hazardous material requirements and facilitates the flow of materials and finished goods for label production.
Responsibilities- Assist in staging label production orders.
- Review all sales orders, run sheets and notes as needed.
- Return all stock label materials to the designated area.
- Move completed label orders to staging and through to shipping.
- Manage inventory: part numbers, balances, reports, physical inventory and cycle counts under the direction of the Assistant Production Manager.
- Accurately record shipping & receiving data.
- Receive & unpack materials & supplies.
- Report damages & discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement & record‑keeping purposes.
- Operate appropriate machinery (tier lift truck, hand truck, forklift, etc.) to move, convey, hoist shipments to & from shipping & receiving platforms; attend mandatory training on that equipment.
- High school diploma or general education degree.
- Some experience with shipping, receiving, purchasing, inventory.
- Ability to read, write & comprehend instructions, correspondence & other information.
- Mathematical skills; ability to use a calculator.
- Experience with MS Office, Excel & ability to perform specific shipping/receiving exercises in relevant software or ERP system.
- Ability to stand regularly & frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds as part of the essential responsibilities of the role.
