The Opportunity:
Harken is seeking a Production Coordinator to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of a group of employees, ensuring compliance with all safety and production standards. This role performs a range of duties that ensure the production team achieves its scheduled goals and maintains quality assurance for the department.
What you will do:
Set daily production plan by scheduling personnel within a given scope or assigned work center to achieve daily schedule.
Coordinate all phases of production, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities to ensure products are made within the constraints of time, cost, and quality.
Use training matrix headcount requirements to train, cross-train, develop and coach team members to maximize quality and output; provide regular updates on personnel capabilities and training progress.
Create, update, and maintain job instructions and process documentation.
Use software (D365) to perform material and shop floor related transactions.
Check first runs and subsequent pieces to ensure product meets company and customer specifications.
Set up and program Hurco machines, verify machine setup against blueprints or templates, and perform measurements in accordance with inspection reports.
Ensures the reliable operation of equipment by coordinating repairs using internal resources and overseeing preventive maintenance through regular audits, assigning personnel as needed to maintain compliance with preventive maintenance requirements.
Assure compliance with quality standards.
Perform inventory and material supply functions as required.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
Education and Experience:
5 Years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
High school diploma or GED
Demonstrate knowledge of production system and techniques
Experience using ERP, MRP, or production scheduling software
Key Skills for Success include:
Ability to accurately scan labor, check labor and provide corrections.
Ability to operate forklift and various bending machines.
Ability to use basic math, including, adding, subtracting and multiplying fractions.
Ability to measure (using ruler, tapes, height gauge, micrometer) and count accurately.
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally to all levels within the organization.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize work and lead team to accomplish goals.
