Develop and aim your strong mechanical skills working on spindles and bearings, in support of the continued growth of our Spindle Repair Division. As a Spindle Repair Technician you will focus on assembling, repairing and building highly sophisticated spindles in a clean-room environment for top-tier CNC machines.
What's more you will have the chance to support the inspection, disassembly and part preparation processes as well as bearing measurements, fitments/preloads, assembly and other complex aspects of the business.
Briefly about our organization:
We have been in business for close to 70 years, with close to 400 employees at 16 offices around the country. We distribute multiple, high end, CNC machine lines as well as provide service and engineering support to our clients.
- Assembling and building spindles in a clean-room environment
- Support disassembly as needed
- Part preparation and inspection
- Some local driving as needed
- Other activities in support of the growth and development of the business unit
Ideally someone with experience building / rebuilding spindles for industrial machinery. If you bring a strong understanding of bearings to the role, this would also be very beneficial.
Additionally, proficiency with Microsoft Office is important as documentation of processes is needed. Ability to lift 50 lbs is also required, as some spindle components can be 50 lbs.
This is a non-management position.
