Joining a respected custom automation company, you’ll be part of a collaborative team where builders, wiremen, and engineers work together side by side.
Every project in this facility is a unique, technologically advanced automation system incorporating cutting-edge controls, robotics, and more. You’ll have ownership of your builds, freedom for precision adjustments, and direct access to the engineering team.
Responsibilities- Build custom automated systems, robotic cells, assembly presses, and packaging machinery from scratch.
- Interpret detailed blueprints, assembly drawings, and complex schematics to plan build sequences.
- Use 3D modeling stations for real-time design reference and verification.
- Install electrical cables, pneumatic manifolds, and hydraulic circuits onto machine frames.
- Adjust machine components to precise tolerances and collaborate closely with engineers to troubleshoot.
- Mentor junior technicians and ensure elite assembly standards are maintained.
- Handle the breakdown, packing, and crating of completed machines for transport.
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical machine building, or 2 years with a toolmaking background.
- Experience building high-speed material handling systems or custom packaging machinery.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and fluid power schematics.
- Expertise with hand and power tools, machine shop equipment, and precision measurement tools.
- Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Must reside within a 45-minute driving radius of Pewaukee, WI.
