About the RoleMercer RPM is seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative to support continued growth across our electric motor and industrial electrical product lines.
This is a relationship-driven outside sales role ideal for someone who understands manufacturing environments, electric motors, and motor control applications, and who enjoys being in front of customers solving real-world equipment challenges.
The position is based out of our Pewaukee, WI office, with travel throughout the Upper Midwest territory.
Primary Responsibilities- Develop and grow new business for Mercer RPM, Inc.
- Prospect and call on customers in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, utilities, OEMs, and distribution
- Sell electric motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and related industrial electrical products
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through regular site visits
- Identify customer needs and recommend product solutions
- Prepare quotations and follow up with customers
- Maintain CRM records and sales activity tracking
- Represent the company professionally at customer sites and industry events
- 3+ years outside sales experience in an industrial environment
- Knowledge of electric motors, drives, motor controls, or related electrical products preferred
- Comfortable selling technical industrial products
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills
- Willingness to travel throughout the Upper Midwest
- Established industrial manufacturer representative firm with strong reputation
