ABOUT THE ROLE
The Assistant Sealants Field Supervisor supports the Field Supervisor in coordinating and overseeing the installation of joint sealants, waterproofing, air barrier systems, traffic coatings, expansion joints, concrete repair/restoration, and related scopes across buildings, parking structures, and ramps. The role assists with field safety, field administration, daily reporting, crew coordination, equipment/material management, quality, and overall job progress. This position works closely with and reports directly to the Field Supervisor.

- Promote, enforce, and develop a strong safety culture, including proper use of PPE and company vehicles.
- Understand or be willing to learn scopes of work: caulking, traffic coatings, expansion joints, carbon fiber, field patching, concrete repair, air barrier, and waterproofing.
- Coordinate project sequencing, materials, equipment and crew size for efficient completion.
- Evaluate project staffing needs and assist with hiring, training and retention of field employees.
- Communicate department news and project information to crews.
- Prepare daily reports on progress, issues and resource needs in collaboration with supervisors and foremen.
- Provide training and guidance to crew members.
- Promote Wells Sealants & Restoration on jobsites to identify additional opportunities.
- Monitor job costs and manage resources, including rented equipment and materials.
- Attend jobsite meetings as required.
- Support billing and special projects as needed.
We're looking for a candidate who has strong leadership and communication skills
, hands-on experience managing crews in sealant, waterproofing or air-barrier applications and a solid understanding of jobsite safety
. They are proactive in problem-solving and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Experience with large or complex projects and a background in precast concrete or construction sites are preferred. A high level of motivation
, dependability and a willingness to learn new skills or obtain necessary certifications round out our ideal profile.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
- 5+ years' experience in sealant, waterproofing or air-barrier application or equivalent.
- 3+ years' crew management experience.
- Precast concrete and construction site experience preferred.
- CPR, Boom Lift, Swing Stage and OSHA 30 certification (or willing to obtain within 12 months).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to help maintain a safe work environment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling and repetitive hand/arm use.
- Capable of standing, walking and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours.
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages and man lifts frequently.
- Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards.
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (depending on location).
