SERVPRO is seeking a dependable and experienced Mitigation Crew Chief to lead restoration crews on fire, water, mold, and storm damage projects. The Crew Chief is responsible for overseeing jobsite operations, supervising technicians, ensuring quality work, and delivering exceptional customer service throughout the mitigation process.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and has strong knowledge of restoration procedures and drying practices.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise mitigation technicians on residential and commercial restoration projects
- Respond to emergency service calls for water, fire, mold, and storm damage losses
- Perform and oversee water extraction, demolition, structural drying, cleanup, and debris removal
- Set up, monitor, and document drying equipment and moisture readings
- Ensure jobs are completed according to SERVPRO and industry standards
- Maintain accurate job documentation including photos, moisture logs, and daily notes
- Communicate professionally with customers, management, and insurance representatives
- Train and mentor mitigation technicians on proper procedures and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, equipment, and warehouse
- Enforce safety procedures and proper use of PPE on all jobsites
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergency response
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 1–3 years of restoration or mitigation experience preferred
- Previous leadership or crew supervision experience preferred
- Strong understanding of water mitigation and structural drying procedures
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in physically demanding and fast-paced environments
- IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT)
- Applied Structural Drying (ASD)
- Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
- OSHA Safety Certification
- Frequent lifting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing
- Ability to work in environments affected by water, smoke, mold, and debris
- Ability to work extended hours during emergency situations
- Frequent local travel between job sites required
