WCTC’s Manufacturing Technologies Department is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician who likes solving problems, working with equipment, and helping students learn by doing. In this hands‑on role, you’ll help keep our manufacturing labs running smoothly by repairing and maintaining equipment, ordering materials and supplies, tracking service and financial records, and helping identify tools and resources that make the learning experience even better.
If you enjoy figuring out how things work, staying organized, supporting a team, and making a real difference in a technical education environment, this could be a great fit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:This position description should not be interpreted as all inclusive. It is intended to identify the major responsibilities and requirements of the job. - Working knowledge in industrial maintenance processes and systems.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills – oral, written and listening for interaction with faculty, other staff and students.
- Ability to apply critical thinking, problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills to work processes and equipment issues.
- Ability to attend to detailed work, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to maintain operational status of a manufacturing facility including repair, purchasing, occupational safety and planning.
- Intermediate level computer software application skills in word processing and spreadsheets.
Hours:
Monday through Friday – 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
