Wisconsin Community Services seeks a Pretrial Case Manager to support justice-involved individuals in Milwaukee, WI. In this mission-driven, client-centered role, you will complete pretrial assessments, develop case plans, and connect clients to behavioral health, housing, employment, and other community resources. You will collaborate closely with courts, attorneys, and service providers, monitor court compliance, and document client progress. Working within a trauma-informed, equity-focused culture, you will help promote safety, reduce recidivism, and restore lives across the community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pretrial risk and needs assessments for justice-involved individuals referred to Wisconsin Community Services
- Develop and monitor individualized case plans that support court compliance, treatment engagement, and community stability
- Provide ongoing case management, including referrals to behavioral health, housing, employment, and social services
- Maintain regular contact with clients through office, community, and virtual meetings using a trauma-informed, client-centered approach
- Collaborate with courts, attorneys, probation, treatment providers, and community partners to coordinate services and advocate for clients
- Track client progress, document all contacts, and prepare timely reports and updates for the court and supervising agencies
- Educate clients about court requirements, available community resources, and strategies for successful pretrial outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case staffing, and continuous quality improvement activities
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, confidentiality standards, and evidence-based practices in pretrial services
- Engage in ongoing training related to equity, cultural humility, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care
